To address the growing needs of Iliad’s network of third-party dealers across Italy, the Iliad Planet platform was initially developed as a website. This platform allowed dealers to activate offers, manage subscriptions, process payments, and handle customer service inquiries. It provided an efficient solution for dealers assisting customers who might struggle with online services or live far from Iliad stores, offering a faster, more seamless activation process.
Building on the success of the website, the decision was made to launch the app, further optimizing the subscription flow and providing an even more streamlined experience for both dealers and customers.
I was responsible for the entire design process of the app, from wireframing to visual design, ensuring that the user experience was intuitive, functional.
Upload Documents Digitally
The challenge I faced was enabling dealers to upload customer documents during the subscription process without storing them physically.
To achieve this, I designed a solution that integrates the app with the website at the document upload step in the flow. When prompted, dealers scan a QR code to seamlessly transition to the app, where they are guided through the remaining steps.
Dealers can select the document type, access a dedicated page, capture images of both the front and back of the document, and send them directly to Iliad—eliminating the need for physical copies and streamlining the process.
Animated Error Feedback
To create a smoother experience even in case of errors, I designed custom vector illustrations to provide clear, visually engaging feedback. I animated them using Figma and the Lottie plugin, generating lightweight JSON files optimized for both Android and iOS.
This approach made error states more engaging and informative while ensuring seamless cross-platform integration, optimal performance, and fluid animations.
