Mazzei Wine
Mazzei Wine is a family-owned Tuscan winery that boasts a long history and numerous awards behind it, while always keeping an eye for sustainability and for advanced wine making techniques. I decided to start this personal redesign project to challenge myself by desining a product page with payment flow and a secondary page focused on Mazzei's hospitality concept.
Moodboard
I started the ideation creating a moodboard based on three colors: gold, white and dark grey. These colors were chosen to convey the elegance of the wine and the refinement with which it is produced. I also included some references to the types of photos and some serif bold typography as inspiration for the concept representation.
Product page
I designed the product page, dividing it into two columns. The first, in which the wine and cellar images are inserted within a carousel, remains fixed to the page while scrolling. The second, containing the description of the wine and territory, the selection of vintages and the purchasing options, can be vertically scrolled. In this second column, by scrolling down, details on the organoleptic characteristics and recommendations for food pairing are provided with the help of graphic representations.
The intention in the designing of this section was to help the customer get a sensory experience of the product they are considering to buy, helping them in navigating with their minds in the experience and flavours that the bottle of wine will bring them in their next meal.
To convey the image of sustainability of the brand, I decided to include an animation of the bottle being placed inside of a shopping bag made of recycled material, once clicked on the purchase button.
Ospitality page
For the hospitality page I have included a hero and description accompanied by a carousel, showing the room, restaurant and wine tasting. Immediately below are four different hospitality proposals based on different targets and needs.
